Dear Parents/Carers

We hope that you are keeping safe and well at this time.

We are writing now with regard to the Standalone visits scheduled for July 2020. In light of the current borders restrictions on travel to and from the Isle of Man and the UK, plus the continuing IOM Government ban on school visits, we have taken advice from DESC who advise that they are unable to confirm that school travel will be possible in July.

It is therefore with regret that we find ourselves with no option, based on Government advice, to cancel all Standalone visits for 2020. This applies to visits to Amsterdam, Brussels, Liverpool, Mountain Biking, Paris, Sealyham and Valkenburg.
We are working closely with the travel companies and insurers and have begun the process of making a claim against the applicable DESC travel insurance. Although we would expect a timely response in line with terms and conditions, there may be some delay in light of the volume of claims being processed so we would be very grateful for your patience in getting back to you. We will keep you updated as we receive any information.

In relation to any payments that you may have outstanding, we can advise that you are not required to make any further payments to Ramsey Grammar School and that any refunds will be based on your payments to date.
Should you have any queries, please contact us via enquiries@rgs.sch.im

Kind regards

Graeme Corrin
