RAMSEY GRAMMAR SCHOOL

DELIVERING EXCELLENCE FOR ALL

For the first time in recent years students at Ramsey Grammar won the annual Douglas Rotary Club Public Speaking Awards.

As chair, Ben Gelling introduced the main speaker with a fantastic mix of insightful background knowledge and humour. With Oscar Bovenizer taking the reins he presented an enthralling speech on a theory that we are actually living in a simulated world, using quotes from Elon Musk and other theorists to support his viewpoint. Finally, Lexi Forbes gave a vote of thanks and brought the presentation to an end. With outstanding feedback from the judging panel they declared RGS as the worthy winners.

After returning as triumphant victors they then presented their speech to the entire KS3.
