Year 11 – Exam / Leaving Arrangements
As we are now in the throes of Y11 exam season, I draw your attention to the following arrangements for the coming weeks.
Whilst students are expected to attend all remaining lessons until Thursday 23rd May, if they have an exam that is in the morning, they are permitted to take the previous afternoon off as study leave, unless the morning exam is on a Monday. If they have an exam in the afternoon, they can take the previous morning off as study leave.
Year 11 students will officially leave school on Thursday 23rd May. This will conclude with their Record of Achievement presentation taking place at 2pm. Students are required to wear smart office wear, something that they will perhaps wear in sixth form, an office or at an interview.
If students do not have an exam in the morning then they do not need to attend school on the Thursday morning.
Prior to the end of their exams students are required to complete a ‘signing-out’ form as a final check that they do not have any outstanding resources belonging to school. Forms will be available from the West Office.
May I take this opportunity to thank you for your support, particularly during your child’s GCSE studies and I wish them the very best for their future.
