Dear Families, Students and Old Scholars

As I expect most of you know by now, I will be leaving Ramsey Grammar School at the end of this term following a 37 year long career in teaching. Being the Headteacher of Ramsey Grammar School has undoubtedly been the highlight of my career. It has been an honour to serve the students, staff, parents and community of RGS over the past 6 years and I take with me many happy memories and leave with a sense of pride in the achievements of our students.

I would like to confirm the appointment of Deputy Headteacher, Graeme Corrin as Acting Headteacher from 1st January 2021. Mr Corrin will be leading the school up until the arrival of the new Headteacher, Sarah Findlater, who is due to take up the post at the beginning of May 2021. I wish them both every success and am fully confident that the school will continue to go from strength to strength.

The final community event of the school year will be on Wednesday 16th December, when we will be holding our Community Carol Service at St Paul’s Church. As usual, everyone is welcome. I hope to see many of you there but if I don’t, I take this opportunity to thank the parents, carers and wider community of Ramsey Grammar School for your support during the time of my headship.

I will, of course, keep in touch with friends and colleagues in the school and will continue to follow the progress of the school and its students in the future.

Thank you and auf Wiedersehen!

Mrs A G Baker
