In our first RGS Learning Blog, Deputy Headteacher Mr Smith explores the importance of what he calls the new 3Rs of education: Rules, Routines and Relationships.
Drawing on educational research and classroom experience, the article argues that successful schools do not choose between high standards and strong relationships. Instead, they recognise that clear rules provide structure, effective routines create consistency, and positive relationships help every student feel valued, supported and able to succeed.
